How much notice do you need for Celebration Cakes?
Though we will always try to accommodate your order, generally, we ask for a weeks notice for celebration cakes. Some cake decorations by their nature require longer to make. So we suggest ordering as soon as possible.
We do offer a range of cakes that we can have ready for collection in just 29 minutes. So it is always worth asking, whatever you'd like.
How much notice do you need for Wedding Cakes?
We ask at least a months notice. Though even this is subject to availability. Please do give us as much notice a possible to avoid disappointment.
That said, if you do find yourself in a predicament, it's always worth asking a question.
You may arrange a wedding appointment to discuss and order your wedding cake via the Wedding page.
Do you deliver?
We are only able to offer delivery of cakes costing over £250.00. This is a service we reserve mainly for Wedding Cakes.
We have a very convenient collection point at the back of the shop and we're always very happy to help you put it in your car. For further details see 'Directions' at the bottom of the page.
How do I store my cake?
We suggest cakes be kept cool and dry, out of direct sunlight and away from any heat sources and/or strong odours.
Do not refrigerate!
How long do your cakes last?
We suggest our cakes are best consumed within four days of collection.
Cupcakes should be consumed within 2 days of collection.
This is of course providing they are kept according to the guidelines printed on the box labels.
Can I freeze my cake?
Sugar paste and royal icing are hygroscopic. Meaning they absorb moisture from the air. When a cake is frozen and then thawed, it will become very wet, and the colours will bleed. Once it has returned to ambient temperatures it will dry out but the colours will not return to their original state. It will however still taste great! So enjoy it for its looks and eat as much as you can, before portioning and wrapping in cling film any cake you wish to freeze and enjoy another day.
Do you have any job vacancies?
We very rarely have any vacancies. When we do they are advertised on our website, and our Facebook page. As well as in the door of our shop. Follow us on Facebook to make sure you don't miss out.
Do you do Vegan cakes?
Unfortunately, whilst all of our cakes are suitable for vegetarians, they are not vegan friendly.
We are actively looking to introduce a vegan cake in the future.
Do you do courses/training?
Are the cakes Halal?
All of our cakes are vegetarian, and therefore they are considered safe for a Halal diet.
Where can I park?
